As I saw Tinu step into the class, I cannot describe the feeling that came over me. It was like a jar of butterflies was opened up in my tummy.
By the time we resumed school, let’s just say I was no longer the “Innocent Boy” Tinu used to know. What I knew and what I wanted to know made me relate with girls a little different.
We were best of friends for the most part of the school day, until Tinu got in the mood to “torment” Hezekiah.
Sometimes, they wanted to be so next to each other, I would expect them to merge into one. Other times, they’ll be at each other’s throat and I’ll have to be the buffer, to prevent them from exchanging punches.
Once again, it seemed the party and come to a halt and everyone was staring at our awkward reunion.
“Hi” she finally whispered.
But then, ice cream is the smallest price to pay to see MB again. She is worth a thousand, even a million ice creams. I just can’t wait.
When do we humans first become aware of ourselves? When do we take note of our environment? When is the first time we recognize others? At what age do we start having friends? When do we first fall in love?
