I have lost count of the number of times I have heard people talk about how they will do things the same way all over again if they had a chance to relive it.
My next question is always “why?”
You have been taught by your environment to believe that you are static. You were made to believe that you are impervious to change.
Rather than accept criticism and correction, you put up a defense. You always have a reason and an excuse.
There is a joy that comes from understanding things. I found this as a child, and ever since, my quest for knowledge has been boundless. And for each new thing I learn, the satisfaction I gain is unquantifiable.
Why would you deny yourself of this pleasure?
I have already decided to move on to the next book. My question now is should I pick one from my current library, or should I wait for one I recently paid for?
Being more intentional about knowing your spouse will make your home happier. Forever is a long time, it is better spent in happiness than bitterness.
Knowledge will be a major difference-maker in addition to love. Everyone can claim to love your spouse, but no one should know them better than you do.
I have heard since I was young that curiosity killed the cat. I took this in; line, hook, and sinker. That was until I myself got curious.
Did curiosity really kill the cat or are did they tell us this to kill our inquisitive nature?
A running theme in my journal this year has been the distance between knowing and doing.
Looking around me, I realized I am not the only person who fails in closing that gap. Truth is I am a voracious consumer of knowledge.
Some of us have stopped studying since we left school. There are even some people who only read when preparing for exams. What a pity.
How are you supposed to grow in life if you have stopped learning?
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Habit is defined as an action done on a regular basis.
It can also be described as an action performed repeatedly and automatically, usually without awareness.
