I have lost count of the number of times I have heard people talk about how they will do things the same way all over again if they had a chance to relive it.
My next question is always “why?”
I, like many people I know, tend to find it difficult to let friends from the past go.
We stay attached to the memories and emotions shared, then tie this to the person, and eventually, we never let them go.
You may have little power over how you will be remembered when you are gone, but you do have a lot of say in what you will remember before you are gone.
The problem with experience though? It often held us back. We remember things from our past, we see patterns playing out before us, and we have to react.
