Truly, wisdom comes with age, but at what age does one get enough wisdom to make him put aside the way of fools?
O God of creation,
Direct our noble cause.
Guide our leaders right,
Help our youths the truth to know.
And give them the wisdom to process this truth, the strength and boldness to act on this truth, and the will to vote for the right leaders, based on this truth.
For the rest of us, foresight of what the future holds for us, our children and generations to come is why we must come out of our comfort zones, to carry out our civic responsibility by electing leaders we believe in.
Yes, the poor, destitute and illiterate are selling their votes for Naira and Kobo, but you young, strong, bright, talented and educated Nigerian, how much are you selling your future for?
Some of the leading voices to the younger generation are more concerned with being cool than being Christlike. They pat themselves on the back for things they are able to do because of their “freedom” in Christ, than their being bound to Christ. They speak little of the cross, dying to self and being a world changer.
