Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah (From My Heart)
There are phases of life when it seems we have a grip on things. In such moments, like a child who just discovered their ability to walk, we want to run.
It is when we run into one of those phases where things seem beyond our comprehension, then we start seeking guidance.
Imagine the amount of damages we could have avoided if we had the right guide all through our journey.
If you wait until your moment of weakness, exhaustion, confusion, or lack, before seeking the Ultimate Guide, there are some irreparable damages, or at least scars, that you might have suffered already.
I choose to depend on an Omniscient, Omnipresent, and omnipotent God. He knows every possible outcome before I even make the first step.
Sometimes it seems foolish to trust absolutely in Him, but there is a sense of calm and reassurance that I can’t find elsewhere in the world. And I find it in Him.
Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah – Lyrics
1. Guide me, O my great Redeemer,
pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but you are mighty;
hold me with your powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
feed me now and evermore,
feed me now and evermore.
2. Open now the crystal fountain,
where the healing waters flow.
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
ever be my strength and shield,
ever be my strength and shield.
3. When I tread the verge of Jordan,
bid my anxious fears subside.
Death of death, and hell’s Destruction,
land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises
I will ever sing to you,
I will ever sing to you.
