Mr Only God Can Judge Us (Sincerely Yours)
You believe in God, you claim his promises, and you look up to the prophets, yet you are proud of your dirty deeds. After all, no one is perfect, and only God can judge you.
You hope to live a long life, yet you have spent your time hurting others, breaking hearts and making people doubt the existence of God. Your actions make some people wish for death.
You leave some people asking God to take action against right away. In tears, God’s children report you to God. And you walk around with your head held high, claiming only God can judge us.
Samuel turned to the Israelites and asked if anyone can accuse him of having wrongfully taken what belonged to them. Paul reminded the Ephesians Church that he had never coveted anyone’s property. Zacchaeus judged himself and realized that he couldn’t just move on as a changed man, rather he must first make a refund to those he has wronged. Yet you are in a hurry to avoid man’s judgment and face God’s judgement.
As much as God is a merciful father, he is also a just Judge. You can’t keep making others cry out to Him in pains, and expect to just waltz through His judgment room at the end of time.
“Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but towards you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness: otherwise you also will be cut off.”
Do not wait until you are standing before God to actually judge you. Judge yourself first. Make sure you are without fault. Correct yourself. Apologize to those you need to. Turn to those you can trust and ask them to honestly judge you.
Then you can look forward to God’s judgment at the end of time, with hope rather than trepidation.
Only God can judge you, hopefully, He finds nothing condemnable in you.
