Happy New Year is the salutation we are used to when we flip the calendar to start a new year, but I need to switch that to a Happy Creative New Year.
We the International Association Of Timekeepers want to use this opportunity to welcome you to the year 2021. Happy New Year.
This is a Public Service Announcement from the International Association Of Timekeepers. We are here to announce the resignation of the year 2020.
After my first day in the class, my experience with Happiness was totally different. This was weird.
Realizing she was the assistant class captain and having witnessed how she treated the class captain himself, I had braced myself for the worst.
Truth is there was no fighting Happiness and her power. She was the absolute power in our case and we were all at her mercy.
As things stand now, Tobi was in her good books just by being cute. Although his initials remains in her bad book. Eric’s full name was in her bad book and it will take an angelic intervention to get it out.
As for me, where do I stand?
Happiness left me and Henry standing and went to take a seat. She brought out a book and started reading. I felt bad for Henry. He just got “dragged” on my behalf.
She was loud, hyperactive, unapologetic, energetic, unreserved, and outlandish. Happiness would stand up to any Alpha Male, and leave him in tears. Wherever she shows up, she either has the leadership position given to her, or she just takes it.
Fellow countrymen and women, this is a Public Service Announcement from the Matters Settlers Association Of Nigeria.
The time has come for you to join the rank of distinguished matters settlers. Will you heed the call?
For the rest of the school year, both Naomi and Olu were nicknamed Baller. They had both earned it, although the name brought up different emotions for each of them.
From that day on, Ruth had it on for him. Whenever a teacher asked her to write down the name of noisemakers, his name was number one on the list. If she was asked to pick students for menial work like cutting grass or washing the toilet, she picked him first.
This is the story of me and Ruth. Not Ruth Abokoku, but Ruth the class captain.
I can’t overstate this, MB is the most beautiful girl I have ever met, Ruth comes a close second. If MB is Dark and Lovely, then Ruth is Dark and Shining.
And for those who still go on to tell us “what a pretty name for a pretty face”, thanks for the courtesy. But we know you are lying.
A common desire among humans is comfort. Ultimately, everything we do is tied towards our comfort.
Never forget, comfortable is often the stepping stone to complacency.
The Administrative Assistant walked me to a class, she called on the class captain and told her that I was a new student and should be settled in.
This is the story of how I met Ruth.
Why didn’t anyone advise Godswill Akpabio not to appeal his own loss? He didn’t even wait for the election appeal court before instituting his appeal, he went to lodge his complaint before a regular court.
or else we the lovers of hundred Naira note will begin to move for the recall and impeachment of Mr President.
Truly, wisdom comes with age, but at what age does one get enough wisdom to make him put aside the way of fools?
My name is Happiness, and I am on a journey to the Altar. I forgot to mention, I am single and searching. I am not searching for a boyfriend, I am actually still looking for the one who will ask my hand in marriage and take me to the altar.
It was much later that Tomi told me that night was the first time Daniel called her since they broke up.
Oh God of creation,
Direct our Noble cause.
Guide our leaders right,
And if they insist on going left, leave them to Sango and Amadioha, let thunder Strike them.
As we stood up from the bench, she opened her arms to give me a hug. “Robotically”, I walked forward to hug her.
Tinu gave me a side hug. Looking back now, it seems like that hug sealed my seat in the Brother-Zone. At least, it was better than the hug I got (or didn’t get) on the first day of the school year.
The YMCMPP have come to the realization that one of the major things holding back this potentially great nation from progressing is unfaithfulness among lovers.
We the National Electoral Reform Association, having witnessed a second consecutive postponement of Nigeria’s General Election have decided to speak up.
As much as thunder isn’t going around striking every deserving person right now, I’ll advise you don’t go around doing things that will make people pray “thunder strike you”.
You don’t want to be the person the strikes start with.
O God of creation,
Direct our noble cause.
Guide our leaders right,
Help our youths the truth to know.
And give them the wisdom to process this truth, the strength and boldness to act on this truth, and the will to vote for the right leaders, based on this truth.
As I saw Tinu step into the class, I cannot describe the feeling that came over me. It was like a jar of butterflies was opened up in my tummy.
Twenty four hours will make one day, but not all hard work will work out. What are you doing? Are you working hard or hardly working? Is your strength being used optimally? Is wisdom profitably
It has come to our attention at the YMCMPP that as much as Nigerians love the festive seasons, the government of Nigeria at all levels doesn’t catch the festive spirit. At all.
Hello there, I am Alice. I have never been to Wonderland, but I do live in a country where wandering around, you will be left wondering about why, how, and why again things are the way they are.
